Jo’s love of Pilates has been ongoing since 2002 when she and Sarah first started practising the moves at home with their two small toddlers trying to join in .

Initially training in Nutritional Advice and as an NHS Community Health Tutor in 2006 she gained her first Pilates qualification in 2007 and from there she has continued gathering Pilates knowledge and understanding studying with a variety of internationally respected teachers and training schools.

She has most recently successfully completed and been awarded her Polestar Pilates Comprehensive Studio Certification. Polestar Pilates are internationally renowned for the cutting edge blend of modern movement science , rehabilitation theory and Pilates expertise.

Jo combines being a busy mother of three with her love of teaching and practising Pilates. The realigning , toning , lengthening that Pilates movement gives you is so valuable whether you are training for a triathlon , recoverning from injury, or just wanting to feel stronger and improve your posture. The joy of the breath and movement , it’s also incredibly helpful dealing with stresses family life !

She can be found teaching mat classes in venues in Sale and Chorlton and small groups and one to one sessions on the large equipment in the Posh Shed.



"Jo is an amazing Pilates instructor! After seeing a few different instructors, my GP referred me to Jo. I'd had lower back pain for a few years and it was worsening with no proper diagnosis. After a few months of lessons, Jo was able to spot the problems in my back, and sent me back to the GP for further investigation.  After physio and other treatments, I was sent for an MRI scan. When I finally saw a specialist, he confirmed everything Jo had been saying for a year. Jo had picked up on all of the problems in my back,  just from observing me in the lessons.  The lessons with Jo are so personal.  She makes sure everybody is fully able and comfortable to do each exercise and will tailor alternatives as needed. Thanks to Jo's lessons I now have a better understanding of how my body works and reacts in everyday life. This has helped me to better manage my life according to my spinal issues.
